Middleton Plantation Wedding!

November 7, 2018

Middleton Plantation a national historic landmark located on the banks of the Ashley River in Charleston, SC. American’s oldest landscaped Gardens. Also includes a House Museum and Plantation Stableyards.

It’s no wonder this tranquil space is highly chosen by couples to say there I do’s! What a beautiful representation of longevity, adaptation, rich in family values and history, solid foundation to a new beginning.

The Octagonal Sunken Garden is a beautiful spot on the Ashley River to provide a romantic backdrop for the nuptials. Manicured boxwoods, camellias, and azaleas are all along the pathways creating this unique ceremony location.

Being that it is on the Plantation, you will often find the sheep running among the grounds. If you are so inclined, horse and carriage can take you and the guests for a ride after the ceremony, before attending the cocktail hour. Cocktail Hour, The Crane Pool, located near the Plantation House has the most amazing blooming azalea hill, (when in season).  The colors are really breath taking. We highly recommend visiting the Plantation, if you haven’t already and see why we love it so much!

Here are some photos from Catherine’s + Ben’s wedding! Classic, white and green, with gold elements throughout. Peonies, anemones, dusty miller, jasmine, peonies, ranunculus, oh my!! See how It all comes together and the sparkler line getaway!
