Back Up Plans, are sometimes the B E S T !

January 15, 2020

While planning an outdoor wedding, you always have to be mindful of weather and the enviorment. Having a back up plan is a must! Plan ahead, that way the day of won’t be stressful!

The wedding turned this week for us, from sunshine and warmth, to bone chill cold and gray. Then came the rain! But that didn’t stop us from creating a beautiful backdrop inside the venue, just a spectacular as if it was outside! Or even more so, with the warmth of the candle lights flickering and the family nestled closely, that’s what ceremonies are about!

The oversized mantle created the most perfect backdrop to be adorn with candles, flowers, and greenery. We knew the weather would clear at some point in the evening, so we took the chance, and adorned the cross, which was in the original plan for the ceremony outdoors. By the photos, you can’t tell this day was less than perfect!!!

Look how beatutiful the ceremony mantle transformed into the perfect cake cutting backdrop for them! Southern smilax draped among king protea, garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses, lisanthus and so much more!!

Ginger jars added the right touch of unexpected color to showcase the bridesmaids bouquets. Yes, we repurposed the bouquets after the ceremony as centerpieces! The King Protea is just a unique stunning flower that can be showcased all on its own!
