Around Town: The River House at Lowndes Grove Plantation

September 17, 2014

Here in Charleston, there is a plethora of venues that each compliment the beauty of his and her’s love story. For my first set up, we went out to The River House at Lowndes Grove Plantation to create Caroline + John’s dream wedding. Each table was graced with a bouquet of Hydrangeas.

On the dinner tables they had a combination off white and blue Hydrangeas and then a simple blue bouquet accenting the cocktail tables. The trees with large swooping branches, that were on your walk to the dock were decorated with candle lanterns hung by white ribbon, setting a calming and beautifully lit atmosphere for when the sun went down.

In the front lawn,  where the ceremony took place, we had blue Hydrangea bouquets hanging from shepherd hooks on every other row.

Lastly, at the beginning and end of the aisle there were large silver urns filled with the combination of blue and white Hydrangeas and some greenery to accent. The difference from when we arrived to when we left was breathtaking. It was a truly rewarding experience to see an already beautiful venue that is the Lowndes Grove Plantation to be transformed and complimented by our arrangements into Caroline + John’s fantasy wedding.
