Do you know the difference ?
We’ve selected (3) of the most requested flowers and put them to side by side comparison.
1st up: Garden Rose: Full Petal Count, Cup Shape
2nd : Ranunculus: petite in size
3rd: Peony: Peonies are a full bloom flower with multi
The ranunculus is similar to peonies, but the main difference between ranunculus and peonies is, the bloom size is a bit smaller and the flower has a flatter shape. The bloom also has a lot of layers, like a peony, but the space between petals is much more clearly defined.
Ranunculus look like the rose’s cousin. Plump, abundant and wonderfully ruffley, they look so romantic.
The key differences between garden roses and peonies are the number of petals, bloom time, and cost
Peonies are a seasonal crop, while garden roses are available (with consistent quality) year-round.
Can you tell the difference between these beauties?
This photo showcases the size difference. Garden roses are a full flower, about the size of a closed fist. Where the ranunculus, is small like a 50 cent coin. The ranunculus is center in the photo with a green center. The large blush hue on the front left is the garden rose. Opposite side is a fluffy white peony.
This above photo features the blush hue garden rose with peonies in the back.
This last photo features peonies (the larger bloom) and ranunculus.
